Sunday, October 4th was a wild one in the Midwest Esports Association — seven games, two undefeated juggernauts doing what they do, and one team that had the worst day in the league. Let's get into it.

More Than Enough is simply built different. Still perfect at 8-0, they took down Hoop Dreams twice today — 77-59 on the road and 69-63 at home — and it wasn't just the wins, it was HOW they won. IPlaymakerEI went for 27 points and 9 assists in the first matchup, then came back and dropped 24 to lead the second game. OD That Dude was a double-double machine all day — 15 rebounds and 10 points in game one, then 12 boards and 12 points in game two. That is a complete team performance. And hats off to PlugCal of Hoop Dreams, who recorded a double-double in both losses — 12 points and 11 rebounds in the first, 12 points and 10 rebounds in the second — and also dished 7 assists in the game against More Than Enough. PlugCal gave everything. The team just ran into a freight train.

Over in Rivet City, WOLF kept their 8-0 record spotless by sweeping Mean Streets in a home-and-away set. At home, WOLF rolled 75-54, led by F the 2kL's double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds. Then on the road, WOLF went into Mean Streets' house and put up 78 to their 47 — x40KalMagic went off for 24 points AND 9 assists, and Gonzi Shoot hauled down 14 rebounds with 6 steals in a monster defensive double-double. Mean Streets threw 24 from lluzii in the first game, but it wasn't nearly enough. Two unbeaten teams, More Than Enough and WOLF, are both sitting at 8-0. This league has two monsters at the top.

Elevate 2K also had a big Sunday, sweeping Hoop Dreams in their own doubleheader — a 52-50 road win and a 51-44 home win — to stay perfect at 6-0. JKEY BMG led the scoring in both games with 20 and 18 points respectively, while xHydra2k of Hoop Dreams dished 9 assists in each contest. Hoop Dreams went 0-4 on the day across all their matchups — that is a rough Sunday. Meanwhile, Dawg Mentality grabbed a much-needed 56-44 win over BTO, with The goat feenn leading the charge with 19 points AND 6 assists for the losing BTO side — impressive individual effort in a team loss. Dawg Mentality rides a 3-game winning streak.
