Thursday, October 1st was a 29-game monster, and two teams made it crystal clear they are operating on a different level. WOLF went a ridiculous 4-0 on the day — blowing out Above Gravity 97-82, edging Hoop Dreams twice, and handling Lean Team — to stay a perfect 6-0 on the season. The engine? F the 2kL, who pulled down 22 boards in the win over Lean Team and added a double-double to the résumé. Meanwhile, More Than Enough swept Guess Who in back-to-back blowouts — 88-54 and 87-49 — with IPlaymakerEI going absolutely nuclear: 31 points and 15 assists in Game 2 for a double-double that had the whole league talking. More Than Enough then edged Krashout 2K 67-62 to stay unbeaten at 4-0. These two squads are not playing fair right now.

Speaking of not playing fair — Im Venom put on a 40-point show for Deadeye in a 77-43 destruction of Above Gravity. Forty. Points. Deadeye then backed it up with an 83-50 win in the rematch, with LogoLarry dropping 27 and iHoopIQ controlling the glass. Deadeye sits at 2-0 and looks like a genuine problem. On the flip side, Above Gravity is now 2-6 and has lost six straight — they got outscored by a combined 64 points across those two games alone. Something has to change over there.

Krashout 2K had a wild day of their own, going 3-2 across five matchups. The highlight was II WHEEL II — who recorded a legitimate triple-double (11 points, 17 rebounds, 11 assists) in one outing against Red Tape, then added another double-double in a second game. Nenerson was the bucket-getter, dropping 38 in one game and 34 in another as Krashout 2K swept Red Tape in their series. Krashout 2K did drop a tough one to More Than Enough, but the overall day keeps them in the conversation. Over in the Sunset Beach conference, antoinelove of Turtles N Sharks went for 36 points and 11 assists — a double-double — in an 85-57 beatdown of CJ00s, while teammate Good Vibes Mud added 22 points and 20 boards for a double-double of their own. CJ00s is now 0-6 and still searching for win number one.

Elsewhere, Elevate 2K won both games against For The Dawgs to stay unbeaten at 2-0, including a tight 70-68 win where JKEY BMG dished 13 assists to seal it. BTO swept their day as well, beating Dawg Mentality and Red Tape to push their record to 2-1. And Mean Streets split their four games — beating Above Gravity twice but dropping both to Krashout 2K — with Zendior II carrying the load on both ends all day long. Thirty-one teams, thirty-one stories. October is already chaotic.
