The game turned on a single dunk. With Hoop Dreams and Red Tape deadlocked in the third quarter, l vSuper l threw down a dunk at Q3 4:04 that put Hoop Dreams up 35-34 — a lead they never gave back. What followed was a dominant third quarter from Hoop Dreams that swung the momentum for good, and a fourth quarter where l vSuper l and xHydra2k put the game on ice. l vSuper l dropped a game-high 27 points on 11-of-20 FG and added 3 steals, while xHydra2k was surgical with 18 points, 8 assists, and a perfect 3-of-3 FT line, going 5-of-8 from three.

Red Tape got a massive effort from Deedthegod — 13 points and 18 rebounds on 6-of-7 FG, a double-double that kept them in it far longer than the final score suggests. SmooveAp also posted a double-double with 14 points and 11 assists. PrimeTim3 Nick chipped in 14 points off 4-of-9 from three, but Red Tape couldn't find enough answers when it mattered most. Streamer Rocky KT was efficient for Hoop Dreams, finishing 5-of-7 FG and 4-of-6 from three for 14 points.

Hoop Dreams came in 8-12 on the season — already having swept a doubleheader against Sock Monsters earlier that same day — and keep piling up wins. Red Tape entered 8-7 and drop this one as part of a tough close to their week.
