Sock Monsters made it a clean sweep on Oct 5, finishing off Above Gravity 68-61 in their second meeting of the day. The game was tight — 13 lead changes, 6 ties, and Above Gravity even grabbed the lead for stretches — but Sock Monsters held the edge for 11:58 of game time and never let the margin get scary. The dagger came in Q3, when IIMarrII threw down a dunk at 2:34 to put Sock Monsters up 40-38 for good.

IIMarrII was the engine all night, posting 18 pts and 13 ast on 7-of-10 FG and 4-of-5 from three — a double-double that ran the whole show. Dark Chaos3 was right there with 18 pts, 9 reb, and a ridiculous 8-of-9 FG. iV3LOC17Y added 10 pts and 4 stl on 4-of-5 FG. But the heartbreak stat of the night belongs to Juicexbhf of Above Gravity — 21 pts, 9 reb, 5 ast, and a jaw-dropping 9-of-10 FG and 3-of-4 from three. That line deserved a W. MoonSurferTV chipped in 16 pts and 9 ast for Above Gravity, including a three at 2:02 that trimmed it to 57-55 and had the comeback feeling real.

Sock Monsters came in 5-2 and are rolling. Above Gravity entered at 0-7 after a brutal stretch in the Midwest Esports Association, and this doubleheader didn't help. Juicexbhf gave them everything — the rest of the squad just couldn't match it.
