Red Tape came back from an 11-point hole to beat Deadeye 53-50 in regulation — and they did it the hard way, trailing for 16:03 of this game before seizing the moment that mattered most. With Deadeye clinging to a lead deep in the fourth, PrimeTim3 Nick drove into the paint at 1:47 and flipped the lead to 49-48 — the go-ahead bucket that never came back to Deadeye. Lavo then iced it with a basket in the paint at 0:38.0, pushing the final margin to 53-50 and sending this one home.
Lavo was the engine all night for Red Tape, finishing with 18 pts, 7 ast, and 4 stl on 8-of-15 FG — including the go-ahead three at 4:16 that first cracked Deadeye's grip on the game. PrimeTim3 Nick added 12 pts and 6 ast on 5-of-8 FG. Deedthegod locked in a double-double with 13 pts and 10 reb, shooting an efficient 5-of-7 FG. On the losing side, LogoLarry and Im Vxnom each dropped 18 pts — LogoLarry racking up 6 stl and 5 ast, Im Vxnom going 8-of-18 FG — but it wasn't enough. Boardman IBI and iHoopIQ combined for 20 reb for Deadeye and still walked away with the L.
This was a doubleheader sweep attempt that fell just short — Deadeye had already beaten Red Tape 67-62 earlier the same day and came in at 3-0 on the season. Red Tape, entering at 2-5, had something to prove in the Midwest Esports Association, and they proved it.
