Dawg Mentality didn't just win their season opener — they sent a message. Dawg Mentality dominated Ice in our veins 57-28, spending 17:27 in front and never looking back after Best Breaks drained a three at 2:11 of the first quarter to put Dawg Mentality ahead 9-7 for good. The biggest run of the game — 11 unanswered points — tells you everything you need to know about how lopsided this one got. By the time the fourth quarter was a formality, Dawg Mentality held a 29-point lead.

Best Breaks was the engine, dropping a game-high 21 points on 9-of-14 FG and 3-of-5 from three. IISumo was an absolute force in the paint, posting a double-double with 11 points and 17 rebounds on 5-of-7 FG. iiG3neii — tonight's streamer — chipped in 12 points, 5 assists, and 3 steals, and kept the pressure on late, hitting a three at 0:22.2 to push the lead to 52-26. On the other side, ICE DRAGONxX led Ice in our veins with 10 points on 5-of-10 FG, but it was never enough. Bandzz OnNatt quietly went a perfect 3-of-3 FG without a single turnover.

Ice in our veins came in 0-2, having dropped back-to-back games to Guess Who on Sep 29, and this result doesn't make the early-season hole any easier. Dawg Mentality, meanwhile, opens their Midwest Esports Association account with a statement win.
