Turtles N Sharks never let Hoop Dreams breathe. From the moment Good Vibes Mud threw down a dunk in Q1 to put Turtles N Sharks ahead 9-7 for good, this one was never in doubt — Hoop Dreams spent exactly 0:00 in front and faced a lead that ballooned all the way to 28 points. The final: 88-66, regulation, no drama needed.

The story of the night is antoinelove, who dropped a monster 40-point double-double — 13-of-21 from the field, 10-of-16 from three, and a spotless 4-of-4 from the line to go with 12 assists and 0 turnovers. That is an all-timer of a Season 19 opener. Alongside antoinelove, Good Vibes Mud was a force with a double-double of their own: 26 points on a perfect 12-of-12 from the field, pulling down 10 rebounds. Goodbyetour added 13 points, went 3-of-4 from three, and racked up 6 steals on 0 turnovers. The losing side wasn't without a bright spot — xHydra2k of Hoop Dreams put up 28 points on 10-of-14 shooting with 8 assists, and l vSuper l chipped in 17 on 6-of-6 from the free-throw line.

Both squads came in 0-0 to open Midwest Esports Association Season 19. After tonight, Turtles N Sharks sit at rank 1 while Hoop Dreams drop to rank 10. Statement made.
